Privacy Policy
This website does not ask for your personal information, does not track you, and does not share anything about your visit with advertisers.
What this website collects
Nothing that you type in. The site has no forms, no sign-up, and no chat box. To reach us, you call or email, and that happens outside the website.
- No cookies. The site does not set cookies. The one thing it stores is your answer to the cookie banner, kept in your own browser (see “Your cookie choice” below).
- No analytics or advertising tracking today. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta (Facebook) pixels, session recording, or any other analytics or advertising tool, and we do not use advertising services.
- No third-party content. Fonts, images and the location map are served from our own website. Your browser does not contact any other company when it loads our pages. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps only if you choose to click it, and Google’s own privacy policy then applies.
Your cookie choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics. When you choose Reject, Accept or Save preferences, your browser stores that choice in its local storage on your device, together with the date, so the banner does not ask again on every page. The choice is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it contains nothing that identifies you. It stays until you change it or clear your browser’s site data.
We may add website analytics in the future, to understand how visitors use the site. If we do, it will run only if you have chosen Accept, or turned on Analytics under Manage preferences, and never on our admissions, contact or insurance verification pages. We will update this policy, including the name of the analytics service, before it goes live. Until then, choosing Accept changes nothing about what loads.
To change your choice at any time, select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page. The banner returns so you can choose again. Clearing your browser’s data for this site also resets it.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like any web host, Netlify’s servers automatically record basic technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and the browser type. Netlify uses this information to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems. We do not use these logs to identify visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information. Netlify’s handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
When you call or email us
Calls to (818) 422-7772 and email to info@lumorarecovery.com go directly to Lumora Recovery. What you tell us is used to answer your questions, check insurance benefits if you ask us to, and arrange care. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Email is not a secure way to send medical information. Please call rather than emailing details about health, substance use or insurance.
Health information: HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, in plain terms
Two federal laws protect health information held by addiction treatment providers.
- HIPAA sets national rules for how health care providers use and share health information, and gives patients rights to see and correct their records.
- 42 CFR Part 2 adds extra confidentiality protection for records of substance use disorder treatment. In general, these records cannot be shared without the patient’s written consent, except in limited situations the law allows, such as a medical emergency.
Lumora Recovery protects the information it holds as a treatment provider, for example after you call us or become a client, under the privacy laws that apply to it, which can include HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 and California law. Federal law requires treatment providers to give clients a Notice of Privacy Practices that explains these rights in detail. You can ask us for it at any time by calling (818) 422-7772.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights over their personal information, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. Because this website does not collect personal information, there is nothing from your website visit for us to access, correct, delete or sell. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. For information you have given us by phone or email, you can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask questions about how it is used, by calling (818) 422-7772 or writing to info@lumorarecovery.com.
Children
This website is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the way this website handles information changes, for example if we add a contact form or analytics, we will update this policy before the change goes live and change the effective date above.
